Easy way to get busted for BWI at Red Wing, Think Barge is Dock

Time to revisit the weekly highlights from the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office (posted regularly on their Facebook page). I’m sharing them here along with my thoughts ON the highlights (my thoughts in red)! And, along the way, we may all learn something about the difficulty and sometimes weirdness of the sheriff’s deputy’s day.

The best of the week

Red wing- A complaint about a man who passed out in a boat and another man who urinated in public and then passed out under a tree led deputies to locate the suspects and the boat.

The boat operator was trying to attach his boat to a barge while telling the Deputy Minister that it was a wharf. No words. J.R.

Both men admitted driving the boat and both were arrested for BWI.

Classify them under…

There is a situation to brew

Dennison- A citation was issued to a driver for going 62 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Dennison- A citation was issued to a driver for going 62 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Dennison- A citation was issued to a driver for going 61 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Dennison- A citation was issued to a driver for going 60 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Dennison- A citation was issued to a driver for going 67 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Something tells me there’s a situation brewing in Dennison. Is it the people of Dennison or other ne’er-do-wells driving stupid and dangerous? -JR

Oh my god, goat jokes!

If the clouds didn’t part and a giant sad trombone didn’t seem to play, “Wah wah wahhh,” then someone missed a perfect opportunity. J.R.
  • Leon TWP – A ticket was issued to a driver for a hands-free and driving-after-revocation violation. The driver attempted to give a false name, but the deputy figured it out fairly quickly and was able to identify the driver since he is the registered owner of the vehicle. Doug head goes dough head. J.R.
