There’s rarely a better way to combine business and leisure than hanging out at the Marriott Marquis!

The remarkable thing about the Marriott Marquis in Bangkok is that it merges beautifully with the “Travel Brilliantly” values of the Marriott brand.
As I reach the facade of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in the heart of Thailand’s capital, I am practically in awe of the sheer vastness of the dizzying space around us.
Like, with the prestige, sartorial grace and always charming smile of Thai people upon arrival, I find it hard to leave the lobby reception. Yet there is still plenty to explore, given that we had just entered what is Bangkok’s largest hotel and the first in Asia-Pacific.

Impeccably reflecting the fusion of convention and modernity, it is easy to relax in the beautiful, ultra-spacious room whose design is tastefully decorated to achieve the characteristic ambience of Thailand.
My room has an amazing view of the city landscape and I can’t help but immediately jump on the huge comfortable beds! The unified contemporary design with country inspirations makes spending time in the Marriot Marquis bedroom feel like a fairy tale.

Breakfasts have always been more inclusive as part of food and drink in my previous reviews, but at Goji Kitchen & Bar they have taken breakfasts to a whole new level.
That said, I really don’t want to go into a long list of what to find at the milk and bagel bar, the cheese aisle, the pancake station… so instead, I put more emphasis on a less monotonous list, with confidence, on the street food department.
It’s the perfect place to sample Bangkok’s signature street food, on spotless counters and without leaving the doors.
Brand new to me and it feels more like an outdoor food court or even a theatrical performance, where vendors would collect many of Bangkok’s street food favorites.

It starts visibly with the rice and noodle stalls, which serve an alternation of different meats throughout the week, where on the first morning I find my favorite Hainese chicken rice and roast duck noodle soup.
And from there, the selection is somewhat remarkable, ranging from the baos and shumai of Chinatown Yaowarat to the flamboyant grilled sausage of Chiang Mai. And, during our two days there, I managed to eat from China, Japan, India and all over the world.
In short, the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park offers probably the best breakfast buffet in Bangkok and truly begins the journey, at the signature Goji Kitchen & Bar celebrates the universally loved pleasures of good food and good company.

‘Soba Factory’ offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience and serves homemade noodles and other Japanese delicacies in a traditional Tokyo-style setting.
The “lobby lounge” is ideal for a drink before or after a pleasant dinner and is an excellent alternative to escape the hustle and bustle of the metro and relax in a relaxed atmosphere.
Located just off the lobby, the “Siam Tea Room”, the authentic Thai cafe surrounded by panoramic views, is my favorite place for lunch and afternoon tea.
In addition, there is a “pool side bar”, on the 9th floor. The menu features an extensive collection of carefully crafted cocktails and tapas-style dishes, making it the perfect poolside spot to spend a lazy afternoon or evening.
Experience innovative Cantonese cuisine at Pagoda the Chinese Restaurant, which transports guests to classic China.

Two outdoor pools mean plenty of space to relax on the lounge chairs soaking up the tropical vibe.
If you’re a health enthusiast, you’ll love the fully equipped exercise room with separate massage room, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, run by professional trainers… it’s all there and needless to say I take full advantage of it.
You can even join yoga or Pilate classes if you don’t want to miss a great workout! The spa uses ingredients that revitalize the face and body and work with your skin to deliver exceptional results. Kids would love their club’s fun activities
Staff and service
Our every whim is catered for by the very friendly and accommodating staff, and with so many choices of restaurants and activities we are spoiled for choice.
Thailand’s focus on hospitality combines traditionally excellent, warm and luxurious service with staff who are intuitive to all guest needs, making every guest feel like a very important person.
