1 Mario Avenue, Covent Garden
Big Mamma’s new restaurant, Ave Mario – a cheeky take on the church – opens Friday July 2nd. Bold in design, flavor and personality, all Big Mamma, Ave Mario restaurants offer a 360-degree dining experience in terms of great food and great theater (large too, at 7,000 square feet with three different atmospheres: a large, daring dining room, a comfortable interior courtyard with outdoor terrace and the rather trippy luxury mirrored basement from the 70s). Chef Andrea has created a whole new menu to transport you to Italy, with gourmet dishes such as a giant carbonara ravioli filled with pecorino cream, egg yolk and crispy guanciale flakes; Milanese cotoletta made from well-being rosÃ© veal; and the truffle pizza, prepared using the new âBigaâ technique (widely recognized for creating the softest pizzas). For dessert, the tiramisu is a knockout, and, in true Big Mamma style, there’s also a 60cm high stracciatella cake on offer.

2 The Ivy Asia, Chelsea
Ivy Asia, Chelsea, opens on King’s Road on Friday July 30. Open seven days a week, The Ivy Asia, Chelsea will offer everything from lunch and dinner to weekend brunch, with a sushi bar seating just four as well as the main restaurant and bar. The kitchen is overseen by Chef Paolo Bianchi, Executive Chef Simon Gregory and Sushi Chef Shie Noh, with dishes inspired by Pan-Asian cuisines. Highlights include salmon sashimi with spicy yuzu avocado salsa, crispy roasted half aromatic duck, and Hunan spiced pork chops with sesame and cilantro. The decor is simply opulent, with bright green onyx flooring, striking artwork, luxurious Asian fabrics, colorful wallpapers, and antiques throughout the space. A delicious selection of cocktails, sakes, wines, champagnes and Jing specialty Asian teas are also available.

3 Louis Roederer pop-up store at the Savoy
The iconic Savoy Hotel has started to reopen its renowned bars and restaurants with an innovative addition – a chic pop-up with historic champagne house Louis Roederer. The collaboration with Louis Roederer takes the form of a unique and stylish ephemeral boutique, open from 1st of July, with a range of champagnes available, including rare vintages such as Cristal VinothÃ¨que 1999, Cristal late release 2002, the highly acclaimed last vintage Cristal 2013 and the newly launched and extremely limited Coteaux Champenois ‘Hommage Ã Camille’. Open Wed-Sun, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., from July 1 to August 31. The Savoy has also created an indulgent overnight offer – the Suite Dining Experience, where you can stay in one of the hotel’s beautiful suites overlooking the Thames and enjoy a private three-course dinner accompanied by Louis Champagnes. 4 Cadogan arms, Chelsea
The Cadogan Arms, a Chelsea institution, is expected to reopen the July 21 after an ambitious renovation to restore the 200 year old pub to its former glory. Lost Georgian architectural details and ornate woodwork have been restored to provide an opulent dining room, where the walls are adorned with art and photographs celebrating the King’s Road, a ground floor bar with warm velvets and floral-patterned fabrics surround the Yorkshire sandstone fireplaces, and a downstairs room where four ‘hidden art’ screens will show sports and live events. Formerly of The Ledbury and The Harwood Arms, Executive Chef Alex Harper will work alongside Culinary Director James Knappett of Kitchen Table in Fitzrovia, two Michelin stars. Bar snacks such as boneless crispy lamb chops with anchovies and sorrel yogurt will be served alongside ‘pub classics‘, while in the dining room the emphasis is on British produce prepared simply, with dishes like brown crab quiche and Kiev-style black garlic chicken.

5 The Polo Lounge at Dorchester Rooftop
If you can’t make it to LA this summer, fear not, LA is coming to you … 1st of July, Los Angeles’ famous restaurant, the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, makes its debut at the Dorchester Rooftop – the first time the Polo Lounge has hosted a pop-up. Bringing a taste of California to London, the Dorchester Rooftop will be transformed with the candy stripes and pink bougainvillea blossoms of the iconic Polo Lounge. During July and August, the open-air restaurant and lounge will be open daily for lunch and dinner so patrons can sample classic LA hotspot dishes, including the legendary McCarthy salad and chocolate soufflÃ©s. The experience will be enriched by the music of a live band and a DJ in partnership with Yamaha Music London & Molto Music Group. In place until August 31.

6 Sessions Arts Club, Farringdon
Sessions Arts Club, housed in the beautifully restored former session house in Clerkenwell, is launching the July 28 to bring together the best of art, design and gastronomy. Created by Cabin Studios & SÃ¤tila Studios, the creative studio houses a restaurant, wine bar and art gallery. Florence Knight will lead the kitchen, offering a refined, seasonal menu inspired by British, French and Italian cuisine and her preference for simple cuisine with carefully selected ingredients. Highlights of the menu include potato and chard croquettes with lemon aioli; orecchiette of clams and turnips; pork belly with fennel & orange; and lamb sweetbreads with lettuce and lovage. The 60-seat dining room has beautiful arched windows overlooking the 20-seat rooftop terrace, which features a marble bar and rooftop infinity pool. Events and experiences will also play a vital role, with influential guests from the worlds of art, fashion, music, wellness and theater hosting parties and exhibitions.

7 Ling Ling’s at TOLA Peckham
TOLA Peckham launched an Asian-inspired rooftop dining concept called Ling Ling’s, offering an ever-changing menu of small plates. No visit will be the same, with current favorites like mushrooms and waffles with chive and ginger mayonnaise, ginger miso noods, Taiwanese fried chicken, and homemade tonkatsu spring rolls. The relaxed dining experience – choose between the intimate rooftop terrace or the cozy downstairs lounge bar – includes experiences such as the bottomless Sunday lunch for just Â£ 35 with chicken or cabbage wings – unlimited flower and beer or prosecco, and collaborative supperclub Wednesdays with partner chefs. Ling Ling’s creator, Jenny Phung, uses food to explore her heritage and reconnect with her Cantonese heritage. Born and raised in Manchester, she spent much of her childhood helping her parents in their Chinese restaurants. Open now.

8 Jiji, Islington
The best Japanese and Middle Eastern dishes and ingredients can be found on the Jiji menu. It might seem like an unusual pairing, but designer Janina Wolkow – restaurateur and founder of award-winning contemporary Japanese restaurant Sumosan – aims to demonstrate how her two favorite cuisines can complement each other perfectly. Menu highlights include roasted cauliflower with jalapeÃ±o sauce, ‘the perfect egg’ with truffle polenta, flambÃ©ed eggplant with jalapeÃ±o tahini and a selection of freshly made sushi dishes such as grilled scallop nigiri with crÃ¨me fraÃ®che and ikura, as well as a crispy quinoa sushi roll. The restaurant also has a corner offering homemade sauces, selected condiments and books. Opening soon.

9 Marugame Udon, Liverpool Street
Japanese restaurant group Marugame Udon, famous throughout Japan and Asia for their traditional sanuki udon recipe, will be serving bowls of authentic udon noodles and freshly fried tempura starting in July. Udon noodles are made on site throughout the day in the open kitchen according to the Sanuki Udon tradition, which creates a softer texture. Highlights of the menu include Kama Age, the most traditional and purest way to eat udon, beef Nikutama with sweet short rib beef and a mild ‘onsen’ poached egg in broth, Two Pork Tonkotsu with Chashu and Spicy Miso Pork, and Chicken Katsu Curry Udon. Pick your udon at the counter and choose tempura and musubi sides before heading to the ‘build your own’ condiment station. The restaurant, much like its counterparts in Asia and the United States, features a traditional design of Japanese tiles and irregular corrugated planks, reinforcing Wabi Sabi’s philosophy – finding beauty and acceptance in the imperfect. ten Hector Wine Bar, Hackney
The Hector bottle shop and wine bar is inspired by the manger cellars of Paris and the drinking troughs of Saint-SÃ©bastien. Started by Jimmy Stephenson, former Managing Director and Partner of Hill & Szrok Butchers and Cookshop, Hector’s in De Beauvoir Town will open Tuesday through Sunday, where you can shop for bottles from a wide range of New School natural wines, classics appellations and rare gems (open now). Then 22nd of July, the place will turn into a wine bar on weekend evenings and afternoons. During the week, espressos, pastries and bocadillos, while the evenings will offer a short selection of wines by the glass regularly renewed and a selection of small plates such as anchovies soaked in olive oil with rose petals, a carpaccio of Zucchini with fresh cheese and sardines on toast.

A cult casual restaurant dedicated to the humble egg (Clarence Court Burford Browns, no less) has opened in Monument, with a myriad of vegan options. These protein-rich oval treats are prepared for all-day consumption, from the namesake EggRun (scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, chives and secret sauce on a hot brioche bun) to Cup on The Run ( scrambled eggs, avocado and cream feta) and the VeganRun (vegan scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, vegan cheddar, chives, chili and secret sauce on a hot vegan brioche bun). The burgers come in three versions, including a truffle version and a vegan Beyond âmeatâ patty. Egg lovers can also enjoy a selection of salads and healthy, carb-free dishes like TacoRun with scrambled eggs, feta cream cheese, a secret sauce, caramelized onions and chives on a bed. romaine lettuce.
