In 2001, the owners of Swadisht opened a small restaurant in Udupi in their hometown that served delicious recipes which until 2013 were called âChinese Heavenâ.
In 2015, the owners opened the restaurant’s second branch in Brahmavar, renaming the brand Swadisht Multicuisine Restaurant, followed by a third branch in Bannanje in 2016. Another branch was opened in Kundapur in 2017.
The owners have always dreamed of opening a restaurant in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada. Finding a suitable location in the Pumpwell Inland Galore building next to Omega Hospital, they opened a multi-cuisine restaurant that has the aura of the other four branches.
A real “multi” cuisine
Swadisht serves specialty continental cuisine. Very few restaurants serve sizzlers in Mangaluru. Swadisht serves varieties of sizzlers and pastas as well as a wide range of Caesar salads, fruit and nut salads, among others.
They also serve South Indian specialties like Crab Soukka, Roast Ghee with Shrimp, Uruval Squid, Chicken Kadipatta, as well as specialty Tandori kebabs like Maratha Kabab, Dakshin Kabab, Paneer Sikkimpuri Tikka. , chicken with Kabab cheese, Tandori Pomfret, Achari Tikka fish and a wide range. of Indian breads.
North Indian dishes like Nizami Handi, Murg Mussallam, Mutton Lahori, Paneer Pasanda with aromatic and tasty biryanis, pulao and the typical butter chicken which is enjoyed by the student community is also served at Swadisht.
The restaurant also specializes in signature grilled chicken and shawarma, a quick choice for any foodie.
Chinese cuisine is an all time favorite where they serve unique entrees like jade chicken, Taiwanese chicken, honey mustard crisp paneer, sterling chicken and many more.
On a weekend, the restaurant sizzles not only with the sizzlers, but also with the Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream which is an all-time favorite for many of their repeat customers.
Besides brownies, Swadisht serves delicious traditional Gudbud, varieties of sundaes and milkshakes, faloodas, and more. They are well known for their cocktails and mocktails prepared by professional bartenders, which also gets the city talking.
To go to the banquet, Swadisht has a mini banquet hall without any type of rent with a capacity of 80 to 100 seats with all the basic amenities provided in the food package which starts from a range of Rs 295. On the music of the house, a connected television, a wireless microphone, an exclusive entrance to the village hall, decorations and a master of ceremonies will be organized according to the requirements of the guests. More interestingly, there is ample parking for around 60 cars in the basement and at the front of the restaurant for guest convenience.
To reach their customers, they are also on meal delivery platforms like Swiggy, Zomato etc.
