With spring well underway, restaurant openings in London are really heating up in March with big new openings on the horizon.
Fitzrovia – 30 Charlotte Street, London W1T 2NG
His first big new restaurant since being part of the Maos launch team, Nuno Mendes is back with this new Portuguese spot in Fitzrovia. As the name suggests, we should have a little slice of Lisbon in London and we really hope that its pastel de nata (by far the best we’ve ever had) is on the menu.

Louis Korovilas was part of the opening team at Bancone and now he has come to Islington with Noci, where the menu will combine Italian street food and pasta dishes. This is the first proper fresh pasta restaurant to come to Islington, and it looks like the fritti on the menu will be just as interesting.

While the pub itself was launched at the end of last year, the next step is the launch of the main restaurant upstairs in James Knappett’s Fitzrovia pub (two Michelin star kitchen tables). We’re told to expect a menu of upgraded pub classics that includes dishes like steak tartare with hay-smoked egg yolk and Scottish scampi with chips – plus an English sparkling wine bar.
