State Farm seeks to hire thousands of new workers, plans 2 job fairs

BlOOMINGTON (25 NEWS) – State Farm Insurance of Bloomington announced Monday that it is looking to hire more than 3,400 employees and has scheduled two virtual job fairs in the coming days to meet with potential candidates.

In a press release, State Farm said it was hiring full-time and part-time workers nationwide after “a year of record growth.”

Positions are available in claims, customer service, sales and underwriting. State Farm said some of the claims team jobs require bilingual employees for Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin and Korean.

Primary locations are at company headquarters in Bloomington, Dallas, Phoenix and Atlanta.

Besides in-person employment, the company said there are work-from-home opportunities and a “hybrid” option in which employees would work from the office for one week per month.

Candidates applying for firm and “hybrid” positions can register online to participate in the first virtual career fair, scheduled for Thursday, January 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Candidates interested in working from home positions can register online for the second Virtual Career Fair, scheduled for Thursday, January 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Central Standard Time.
