The latest hygiene ratings for cafes and pubs in the city revealed

A GOLF club, cafes and pubs have made the list of food businesses in Worcester that recently received five stars for food hygiene from health inspectors.

Scores are judged by Worcestershire Regulatory Services inspectors based on food handling standards, how food is stored, how food is prepared, cleanliness of facilities and pest control , food safety management and evidence that staff know about food safety.

Five-star Worcester businesses that will make the list after further inspections include:

The Fruit Shack at St Peters Garden Centre, Pear Tree Farm, Broomhall (January 20)

WRFC Trading Ltd, Worcester Warriors Sixways Stadium (January 29)

Cafe Zest At House Of Fraser, Chapel Walk (January 27)

Cardinals Hat, Friar Street (January 20)

Centenary Lounge, The Cross (January 27)

Newtown Cantonese Take Away, Newtown Road (February 2)

PJ’s At The Tything Coffee Club, The Tything (January 28)

Red Hen Cookery at St Georges Catholic Primary School, Thorneloe Walk (28 January)

Tilleys Sandwich Bar, Lowesmoor (January 27)
