With so many locations across the United States offering their own unique food and drink scene – these five US cities have just been revealed as the best for foodies.
US company Yelp – which publishes crowdsourced reviews of a range of businesses including restaurants, bars and cafes – is responsible for compiling the below ‘top 5’ list, which has been compiled by its team Data Science.
What data was used to create the list?
Basically, Yelp’s team of Data Scientists scoured a list of cities – which have a population of less than 250,000 people – to find the restaurants that have the highest ratings among those not local to the city, and are therefore classified as ‘visitors’.
This data was then combined with customer reviews – which were left on Yelp – to come up with a list of the best cities for foodies in the United States.

5. Bend-Redmond, Oregon
At number 5 in the list of “top destinations for foodies in the United States” is the city of Bend-Redmond – in the state of Oregon, located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States .
