Treat Yourself to Hakka Sunday Brunch at Hakkasan in Mumbai


Capturing the spirit of London’s contemporary dining scene, Hakkasan serves modern Cantonese cuisine in Mumbai. This Christmas, Hakkasan offers a Japanese-Edition Hakka Sunday Brunch with Toki Whiskey and Roku Gin cocktails, as well as a limited-edition six-course menu featuring Hakkasan’s best Cantonese creations. The menu includes soups, salads, a selection of three small dishes, main courses, rice and noodles, desserts and bottomless cocktails of Toki whiskey and Roku gin.

The decor

For its Japanese edition of Hakka Sunday Brunch, the restaurant will be transformed into a magnificent Japanese garden. Dine amid a backdrop of pink and white cherry blossoms draped over the iconic wood lattice panels of Hakkasan in the Ling Ling region, embodying the essence of the cherry blossoms synonymous with Japan. In the main dining room, the wooden canopy is beautifully adorned with cherry blossom rings.

Food and drinks

Start the Hakka Sunday Brunch with a selection of soups such as Clear Wild Mushroom Soup, Sweet Corn Soup or Sweet and Sour Soup. Salads offer options like the signature Hakkasan Crispy Duck Salad with Pomelo, Pine Nuts & Shallots or the Vegetarian Faux Duck Salad with Pomelo, Onion & Shallots. Choose three small dishes from a selection of options like carrot cake; spicy jackfruit dumpling; chive flower and mushroom dumpling; crispy tofu with Szechuan pepper; shui mai with chicken and shrimps, sautéed chicken with Sichuan pepper; har-gau; Crab dumpling on a bed of spicy Singaporean sauce and more.

As the main course, you can taste the Sichuan tofu mabo; Lotus root and asparagus with black pepper, Four vegetables in Szechuan sauce; sautéed chicken in lang chin sauce; sautéed lamb tenderloin with ginger and spring onion and more. The rice and noodles contain fried rice with truffle; Fried rice with edamame and eggs; Hand drawn hakka noodles with shimeji mushrooms and bean sprouts or Szechuan noodles with chicken.

Every Sunday at Toki and Roku Brunch, Hakkasan mixologists concocted a range of specialty cocktails at the bar. Sip delicious whiskey and gin concoctions like Roku Fizz made with Japanese artisan Roku gin, lychee liqueur, pineapple juice, mint leaves and ginger ale; Elderflower Gin Sour with Japanese artisanal Roku gin, elderflower syrup, lime and egg white; Toki Highball with Toki Suntory, seltzer and lemon wedge; The Nippon with Toki Suntory, Martini Rosso, ginger liqueur and lemongrass leaf.

Signature liquor deals are also available to customers with mixers served by mixologists from an exquisite liquor cart. These drinks will be mixed, brewed and served using preferred mixers and toppings in front of guests at their tables to enhance the dining experience.

The Hakka Sunday brunch ends with a gourmet dessert such as a dark chocolate mousse, a selection of ice creams or crème brûlée with apples and vanilla.
